Picasso
Inspired by Picasso’s Girl Before a Mirror
This painting is incredibly relatable in today’s day in age. The Girl Before a Mirror portrays exactly that, a Girl Before a Mirror. But on one hand she’s done up, looking beautiful, but what is portrayed back to her is a vulnerable, self-conscious looking woman. I dare say that everyone, yes even men, have looked into the mirror at some point unhappy with themselves either physically or emotionally. I think this painting could be a call to action.
Yes, at some point we’ve all felt this way, but you are simply enough. You are worth it. You are deserving of all your heart’s desires. That’s why I chose all the happy colors from this painting and was one of my favorite pieces to paint from this collection. With all the brights: blue, red, pink, orange, and green, my interpretation of Picasso’s painting is comfort and delight. Comfort and delight in knowing each of us are beautiful, unique, and marvelous.
Available in either 8x8 inch square print with 6 inch round art or 10x10 inch square print with 8 inch round.
